Dear Vacations To Go Customer,
AmaWaterways will debut three new ships in Europe next year,
including its largest ship to date, the AmaMagna. You can book your 2019
sailing aboard any of these vessels right now, and I'll tell you more
about them in this newsletter.
But first, here are some fantastic discounts and deals from AmaWaterways for our customers for 2019.
Fly for free from select gateways on certain river cruises in Europe when you book by December 31.
Save $500 to $2,000 per couple off sailings on European rivers and the Mekong River in Southeast Asia when you book by December 31.
Save 50% off pre- or post-cruise hotel packages on select Mekong cruises when you book by December 31.
Your upfront fare includes first-class sightseeing programs, meals and unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks at lunch and dinner. A complimentary daily "Sip & Sail" cocktail hour takes place before dinner.
Also included is AmaWaterways' Wellness Program, where onboard wellness hosts lead fitness classes like stretching, core strengthening and resistance-band training, as well as lectures and discussions. The line provides guided hiking, biking and jogging excursions, or you can set out on your own with one of the complimentary onboard bicycles.
The AmaMagna debuts in May and will sail itineraries on the Danube River. It is twice the width of traditional river ships, providing room for spacious accommodations and more amenities.
More than half the staterooms are suites measuring 355 to 710 square feet with full balconies. Guests can enjoy four dining venues: the Main Restaurant, The Chef's Table, Jimmy's Wine Bar Restaurant and the Al Fresco Restaurant, with retractable windows.
The Sun Deck provides a heated pool, whirlpool and the Sky Bar (one of five bars across the ship). The Zen Wellness Studio hosts a fitness center, two massage rooms and space for group exercise classes.
The most unique amenity is the water-sports platform at the stern. It opens to reveal a smaller boat that can be used for more intimate, complimentary river excursions.
Two more new ships will join the AmaMagna in Europe. The 102-guest AmaDouro is the line's second riverboat in Portugal. Starting in April, it will sail through the famed wine-producing regions of the Douro River Valley.
The 156-passenger AmaMora launches in June on the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Most staterooms have either French balconies or AmaWaterways' twin balconies (both a French balcony and a full step-out balcony).
Among brand-new AmaWaterways vacations for 2019 is the 15-day Taste of Bordeaux. This itinerary includes sightseeing and hotel stays in Bilbao and San Sebastian, Spain, before a seven-night sailing in the Bordeaux region of France, then adds a post-cruise extension in the Loire Valley and Paris.
A four-night package that provides opportunities to view rare mountain gorillas up close in Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park now can be added to any of AmaWaterways' southern Africa river cruises.
The line also offers an extensive program of wine-themed sailings, which include tastings, food and wine pairings and tours of vineyards and wine cellars at no additional cost.
